I found a 58-year-old car with only 1,000 miles on it - and bought it

Richard receives an incredible 1968 classic car that Dennis found near Dayton, Ohio, with only around 1,000 original miles and an almost completely untouched appearance. The story is that a young woman got the car around the time she received her driver’s license, but discovered that taking the city bus was cheaper than paying for gas, so the car ended up spending most of its life parked in a garage. It still has all five original tires, an amazingly preserved interior, original markings, dealer-installed air conditioning with its paperwork, and only minor paint touch-ups from decades of storage. The crew believes it may be the lowest-mileage 1968 example they could find records for and debates whether something this original belongs in a museum rather than being modified. After inspecting it closely, Richard decides to keep the remarkable time capsule.

5 SUVs I would buy if I were upgrading from the Maruti Wagon R

The SUV segment offers options for every upgrade, from rugged 4x4s to premium urban SUVs. Here are five models worth considering when moving up from a Wagon R.

Mercedes-AMG GT R cruises down a tree-lined road

A matte grey Mercedes-AMG GT R, finished with a Petronas-inspired teal stripe and accents, drives along a quiet road framed by rows of bare trees on either side. The car's aggressive front splitter, prominent AMG grille, and Panamericana-style vertical bars highlight its position as one of Mercedes' most track-focused sports cars, built around a twin-turbo V8 producing over 570 horsepower. Dappled sunlight filters through the tree canopy, creating shifting patterns of light and shadow across the car's hood as it moves down the road. A traditional Dutch farmhouse is visible in the background, adding a rural charm to the otherwise performance-focused scene. The GT R's distinctive teal and matte grey color scheme, reminiscent of Mercedes' Formula 1 livery, sets it apart from more conventional AMG color options. This kind of relaxed drive showcases the GT R's everyday usability, offering a glimpse of the car outside its more typical high-speed track environment.

Toyota Proace Electric brings quiet EV driving to work life

The Toyota Proace Electric is a practical work van built for professionals who need to enter low emission city zones without losing everyday usefulness. It shares its platform with Stellantis vans, but adds Toyota’s support, including warranty and service confidence. The tested long double cab worker version can carry a crew while still offering around 6 cubic meters of cargo space, with a rear area prepared for racks, tools, and roof equipment. Inside, the cabin is simple, roomy, and easy to clean, with hard plastics, strong visibility, many storage compartments, and physical controls for climate, audio, and windows that remain easy to use with work gloves. On the road, the electric drive makes it quiet and calm, though tire noise from the cargo area is still noticeable and performance is modest, especially with a full load. The 75 kWh battery gives around 300 km real range, making it best for daily routes of 100 to 150 km. Payload, towing, and floor modification limits mean it cannot replace every diesel van, but for city based trades, it is a useful electric tool.
